First Vehicle Services hires experienced, knowledgeable, and skilled technicians to maintain a high-quality environment. We require that our technicians engage with ongoing training and complete a rigorous certification program through ASE, EVT, and OEMs. We work diligently to ensure our mechanical and technical expertise meets always surpasses the increasingly sophisticated specifications of your fleet.
Our employees are the most highly trained, experienced, dedicated professionals in the business. Our continuous training and certification programs include:
- Automotive Service Excellence—highly trained and certified technicians by the National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence (ASE). We have over 3,800 ASE certifications—the highest in our industry. We have more ASE Blue Seal Certified operations than any other public fleet maintenance provider.
- Emergency Vehicle Technician—we use Emergency Vehicle Technicians that are professionally trained to work on emergency vehicles.

National Institute for Automotive Excellence (ASE)
With over 3,800 current certifications, First Vehicle Services is the nationwide leader in ASE certifications for any other diversified fleet maintenance provider. Additionally, we are the public-sector fleet maintenance provider with the most ASE Blue Seal recognized service centers in the United States.
Emergency Vehicle Technician (EVT)
We recognize that emergency vehicle response is the basis for the success or failure of all other emergency functions. We use Emergency Vehicle Technicians that are professionally trained to work on emergency vehicles, giving you assurance of high vehicle safety, availability, and reliability.
Technician Training Programs
Training and development of all maintenance personnel is important to the performance of quality repair and maintenance services for your fleet vehicles. We understand the importance of retaining certified technicians and encourage our employees to become Master Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) technicians through the ASE training and certification program. First Vehicle Services requires each technician to participate in at least 40 hours of training each year to increase skills and knowledge of industry technology advancements.
We have a comprehensive library of in-house and web-based technical training materials of videos, printed study guides, and technical literature. Our technicians have all the necessary training, support, and oversight for proper and effective maintenance of your vehicles and equipment. In addition to training and testing, technicians must have two (2) years of on-the-job training and a two-year degree in automotive repair.
Our technicians also receive classroom instruction and on-the-job training provided by our suppliers such as AC/Delco, Altec, Ford Motor Company, Fluid Power Hydraulics, Force America, and International.
