National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence (ASE)

The National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) (link opens in a new window) is an independent, non-profit group whose mission is to improve the quality of vehicle maintenance and service through the testing and certification of service professionals.

ASE certified technicians are identified by the sign they are allowed to display after stringent testing. ASE has taken this responsibility one step further with the Blue Seal of Excellence, which recognizes qualified repair facilities with a high percentage of ASE-certified professionals.

With over 3,700 current certifications, First Vehicle Services is the nationwide leader in ASE certifications for any other diversified fleet maintenance provider. Additionally, we have over 50 ASE Blue Seal recognized service centers - more than anyone else in our industry.

The coveted Blue Seal recognition means over 75% of the technicians at each facility are ASE-certified and at least one technician is ASE-certified in each area of maintenance technology the service center offers.

Emergency Vehicle Technician (EVT)

The Emergency Vehicle Technician Certification Commission, Inc. (link opens in a new window) is a non-profit corporation dedicated to improving the quality of emergency vehicle service and repair throughout the U.S. and Canada. The EVT certification program was introduced to elevate the standards of emergency vehicle maintenance and fleet maintenance personnel.

First Vehicle Services is an industry leader in training and certification of technicians, with over 280 EVT certifications, over 30 Level I or Level II certifications, and 8 EVT Master certified technicians in the Fire, Ambulance, and Airport Fire Fighting and Rescue categories.
